Our curriculum is closely aligned with the Core Curriculum Standards of the Department of Education for the State of NJ and the Archdiocese of Newark. As a result, all students receive five and one half hours of instruction each day. Each teacher plans a daily schedule of subjects in accordance with these guidelines. The eight regular subjects taught include Religion, Reading, Composition, Language Arts, Spelling, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Science. Special subjects are Music, Art, Physical Education and Computer Literacy. Spanish is taught in Grade 8.
REPORT CARDS
Report cards are issued four times a year. The report card is an evaluation of the student’s total academic performance including not only test grades but also class work, homework, special assignments and class participation. |
